My Background
I've been teaching adults for 20 years across China, Japan, Mexico and Vietnam. During that time, I've helped thousands of students, worked for some great companies, managed a few schools and developed materials.
However, while that work has been rewarding, sometimes in life you want to create something of your own. That's Rangers' English. My goal? To open an outstanding school for Japanese adults when I move to Japan in 2027. Until then, I will be offering online classes to help students meet their goals, and to help me reach my own goal on establishing my school.I've always told my students that English isn't the goal. It's a tool to help you reach your goal. Let's work together so that we can all achieve our goals and dreams together.Motto
“Give your words a mission. Aim at your target and release.”
Vision
Every lesson is training.
Every word is an arrow.
Every goal is a target.
Let’s aim together.

General English

Learning general English is like getting a passport to the wider world: it opens the door to travel, study, new friendships, and career options you might never have imagined. The General English Course is a 6-level course using Oxford Navigate. With this course, you will have a clear, step‑by‑step path from everyday basics to confident, real‑life communication, all through engaging topics and practical language you can start using right away.

IELTS 5.5

The IELTS Preparation Course is a focused program designed to get you the band score you need for university entry, work visas, or career growth. This course uses a mix of Cambridge and Oxford material to give you the best experience. Each unit tackles every IELTS task type across Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing, giving you step‑by‑step strategies, target grammar and vocabulary, pronunciation and fluency tips, plus peer practice that trains you to “think like an examiner.”If you already have an A2/B1 foundation and want a clear roadmap to Band 5.5 and beyond, this course is your launchpad.

Workplace English

If your goal is to shine in meetings, write sharper emails, and feel at ease with international colleagues, Workplace English is the right choice for you.Workplace English is an 8-level course using Pearson’s Business Partner series — which gives you the practical phrases, soft‑skill tactics, and authentic case studies you need to sound professional and persuasive from day one. This course is ideal for students who already have afoundation in English.

Topic Talk

Topic Talk is a relaxed, topic‑driven speaking class for adults. The goal of this class is to give you maximum real‑life conversation practice in a friendly small group. Before each class, you will have access to material for the topic of that particular class. This allows you to organize your ideas and learn the new vocabulary before class. You can then spend the class talking more, maximizing your speaking opportunities. There are a wide range of topics: everything from travel and technology to hopes, dreams, and daily life.Any adult learner with at least an A2 foundation is welcome—if you want to stretch your speaking skills, meet new people, and have fun in English, this class is for you.

Demo Class
Please note that I will start demo classes in the middle of September, once the site is ready.
If you have any questions before then, please click the button and send me an email.

Payment, Booking and Cancellation Policy
Currently, I am only offering "Topic Talk" and "Workplace English" classes. For "Topic Talk" classes, you pay for them as you book them, one-by-one. For "Workplace English", you pay for them five-at-a-time. This means there is no large upfront cost for you.
Since I currently manage everything myself, I kindly ask that you only book classes you’re confident you can attend. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations are not eligible for a refund, as that class seat will not be possible to fill on short notice. For "Workplace English" classes, I ask that you attend the entire course, as it would be difficult to replace a student mid-course, and it is better for all students to remain together throughout the level, as they will build relationships and be comfortable with each other. For "Topic Talk" classes, there is a link in the schedule for you to download the accompanying class material. Please download and preview it before class so that you can speak out more and participate more in class. This provides greater benefit to yourself and to the other students.

Level Test

Before taking a class with me, it would be very helpful if you knew your English level.I am currently in the process of developing my own Placement Test. However, since I am just one man, it's still going to be quite a while.Until that time, I recommend you take the EF Set Placement Test if you want to know what your English Level is. It's a pretty good test, and the results are fairly accurate, even though it doesn't really test your speaking skills. You can take either the 50-minute or 90-minute test.

Questions? Suggestions?

Have you taken my class and have a question?
Do you want to discuss booking additional types of classes with me?

Do you have an idea on how to take my site or service to the next level?
Please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
